Take Interstate 80 to the Castle Peak/Boreal Ridge exit 176. Amazing hike with beautiful views. Nice views of the Donner Summit area, pretty easy and I saw a guy without water or any pack. The whole hike was beautiful, and truly picturesque. Tallac, Eagle Lake, Tahoe Rim Trail, Eagle Lake, etc, (check 'em out!)
