My favorite David Wiesner book to date, and truly an amazing book! Albeit that I do indeed consider David Wiesner’s Caldecott Medal winning. Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read.

They enjoyed it so much we have written reviews to share. every young child & everyone in their lives, Superb book that even the youngest book listener will be able to read on their own, as it’s told almost entirely in pictures: but so much more fun for adults or older kids to read it with them. I finally had the chance to read it in its entirety thanks to the Children's Picture Book Club. I love the storyl. It’s an unpopular opinion, clearly, but that’s art I suppose.

I read it to a child with EAL and he really enjoyed it as well. This wordless picture book is a delight. Gorgeous pictures. When he (and the reader) look at the developed photos, a wonderful journey to an incredible underworld begins. My 5 yr old was fascinated by the story line and we learned a new word, Flotsam, that he'll not easily forget. . I think the story having no words encourages a deeper level of engagement, and both the story and the drawings are wonderfully inventive. Of course the kid takes his own selfie and throws the camera back in the ocean. The illustrations prompt readers to use their imaginations to tell the story.

I'm a little stumped for ways to convey how good this book is.

Dad would find things he could put into a small box to share with his friends and family. My son loves this book and working out what is happening. Horn Book"Wiesner continues to show children that things aren't always what they seem.
