The diamond-backed watersnake is our largest watersnake. The current foci of my research are to 1) understand the hormonal mechanisms that mediate life-history differences among populations of diamond-backed watersnakes (Nerodia rhombifer) and 2) surveying northern Arkansas glades to determine the range of varied groundsnakes (Sonora semiannulata), a species of greatest conservation need, in the state.
