Got it sooner then expected and very happy with it I love this movie! Overall the acting is very convincing, particularly Rose McGowan. It does to the people who live or grew up there. They filmed it at Grand Ten Distillery in South Boston. Reviewed in the United States on May 31, 2016.
Surprised by how much I really enjoyed this movie. I like Donnie Wahlberg and I'm glad he got a paycheck for making this movie. So why does the media/press have such a hard time understanding that Mark Wahlberg is from Dorchester? Could We Face Another Round of Grocery Shortages as COVID Cases Spike? It took a few tries but I made it to the end which is more than I can say for a few hundred partially watched movies that I keep in queue in case I ever reach the point that I have watched everything else there is on the internet and I'm desperate. South Boston is not Dorchester – well, it was part of Dorchester a long, long, time ago – like 200 years ago. They have lots of fun events, tours, a cocktail bar, and plenty booze made right here in Southie! Why is it so hard? About a year ago, a newspaper from Palo Alto wrote the headline “Eat like a Southie” in reference to Wahlburgers, which is also wrong on a whole other level.

Many of the smaller roles were played by people that the director cast from the neighborhood, or by Boston born actors like Jimmy Cummings, Josh Marchette, Sue Costello, Lenny Clarke, Steve Sweeney, Steve Koslowski, and Bob Whalberg, whose close to the street performances help make the film authentic.
Reviewed in the United States on May 13, 2016. Would say a "must see" for Wahlberg family fans just like "Cry Baby" is a must for Depp buffs. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness. In the opening of the interview, Geist describes Wahlberg as growing up in the Dorchester section of South Boston. Someone needs to tell the writer and director that movies with a lot of personal interaction and character building needs great dialog and editing. Dorchester is not Southie. A rough and tough area, how it plays on this one characters life and the Irish Mafia.
This is not the first time this mistake has happened. This award winner captures the real feel of South Boston better than most films shot there. Rentals include 30 days to start watching this video and 48 hours to finish once started. In the Boston Globe today – yes, the BOSTON Globe, it was reported that Wahlburgers would be expanding the burger chain to include London. Whether they call themselves mobs,gangs or organization, they still can cause so much hurt and destruction to the innocent.
