A single mother turns to housekeeping to make ends meet as she battles poverty, homelessness and bureaucracy. My 4 year old loves this story.
Numberblocks. Reminds me of my family. She has since she was 2.5. We’re Going on a Bear Hunt follows the intrepid adventures of siblings Stan, Katie, Rosie, Max, the baby and Rufus the dog, who decide one day to go on an adventure in search of bears. I was really happy to find this on Amazon to play for her. Netflix Netflix.
But then there was a plot twist that had the bear become friends with the middle daughter - sharing a sandwich, taking care of poor, sick, lonely bear. This was a story that my two year old loved to watch.. we watched it a bunch of times this weakened while she was sick .. then we go to watch it today and Amazon’s is charging us.. did they start charging me now that they noticed we have been watching it a lot?? Mom and dad leave the five children in the oldest' scare, while the parents go and retrieve grandma. They mistreat the poor bear!!! I love the artist's choice of colors and I just love ALL the artwork all around in this! One of my 4 year old's very favourite book. they could have at least hinted that the girl and the bear will continue seeing each other. I have to say, the artwork, animation, music, and everything is very beautiful, but this is a much different take on the story.

The animation is so well done, so true to the book, it is such a shame they had to add this change to the plot! PREVIEW THIS MOVIE FIRST or, better yet, JUST DON'T WATCH IT!
Though it *may* have traumatized my poor mother-in-law the last time she was in town, this has become one of my favorite films to watch with my young daughter.
And that's fine for in the car. Cute music too. My daughter doesn't seem to understand what's going on, so she's not bothered by it, but it's definiteley sad.
The friendly blocks are ready for more numerical celebrations when they learn new ways to enjoy math in Numberland. Even though he was very familiar with the story, he became scared as the story progressed. Also, the whole dead grandpa sub story is just pointless because it doesn't relate to the bear in any way!

I have *not* read the book yet (which, having googled it, seems quite different in its treatment of the Bear). UNLIMITED TV SHOWS & MOVIES. Inspired by the bestselling novels, this series follows the eight close-knit siblings of the powerful Bridgerton family as they attempt to find love. I can honesty say I don't see myself ever playing this DVD again, just as well I got it used for two quid. Select the department you want to search in. The only good thing, for which the one star is for, is the style and quality of the animation itself. Too sad!!!

We're Going on a Bear Hunt. NICE WORK - our kids watch this before bed, Reviewed in the United States on May 7, 2017. Maybe they are trying to get at the pain of losing a loved one (the grandfather had died not long before this movie takes place, another addition to the original story), but honestly given the age of the target audience, I don't think it is appropriate. I watched this with my 4 and 7 year old daughters. I was narrating the film to my kid as we went, but at the end I was literally speechless, had to hastily make something up along the lines of "and next day they went to see the bear again and make friends with it", while mouthing "what?!?" Inspired by the bestselling memoir.
My daughter loves it! Travelling or based outside United States? It's simply cruel, an unsubtle depiction of one of the many bad sides of human nature, and there is no moral here to teach kids. I was completely shocked with the ending - to see the nice friendly bear completely alone, after having the prospect of friendship yanked away by the stupid kids who don't listen to the sister who actually discovered the bear, and knows that it was friendly. Based on true events. 20 minutes later after the movie ended and my 7 year old daughter is still wailing! I highly recommend it to other parents.
