This is the cheapest option. This will be at Roosevelt Ave and 74th Street. From there it’s about a 2 block walk south (down) 6th Avenue (also called the Avenue of the Americas). I do use Via in and around the city but not from the airports. However, round-trip service is only available from Grand Central and Port Authority Bus Terminal.

Subway passes (called MetroCards) are available for purchase from ticket machines and desks in subway stations (choose from Pay-Per-Ride or 7/30-Day Unlimited), and a new contactless payment system called OMNY is currently being rolled out. Is that correct? The 79th street station is about a block from where we are staying so that’s perfect! There are 5 of us traveling to NYC for the first time. I wouldn’t leave any later than 4-4:15.
