As good as the music is, some of her message is lost on those of us who are older who have actually lived through certain situations and have common sense and wisdom that only those who have lived to our age can have. I love pop for what it IS (a good beat and some catchy, but silly, lyrics), but I don't think anyone would call it thoughtful, interesting music.
