I’ve made these pancakes several times now and you’re right – they are definitely the best I’ve had! These pancakes were AMAZING!
I have a question regarding the Best Breakfast Pancakes recipe. Or maybe table salt? They came out perfectly! That sounds great. So fluffy. This is a delightfully tasty pancake that’s sweet and savory. I’ll need to double the recipe each time though – the 4 of us were fighting over them :-). Thank you Carla.
I add almond extract. Brilliant! They always work. Followed the recipe exactly, and they turned out great.

Chocolate Turtle Apple Slices are thick slices of Fuji apples covered in melted chocolate, drizzled with caramel and topped with nuts. The best pancakes ever but I cut the salt in half. I used brown sugar instead of white sugar (I added a extra half spoonful). I made a double batch and they were gone in an instant so I had to make a second double batch.
Serve with fresh fruit coated in maple syrup! I remember reading it when I was a child. Sounds like they weren’t mixed well enough and your heat was too high. You can use canned or cooked fresh pumpkin. Yes, these were good but I missed the vanilla flavor and the buttermilk tang. Pour the milk mixture into the dry ingredients and stir just enough to moisten the flour mixture. These easy pumpkin pancakes have an amazing texture! More importantly, my daughter loved them! Perfect! Kids love them. They still came out fluffy though! Easy ingredients and easy to make which are always pluses…. I also followed it to a T and the batter was like water. Our grandkids think I’m the best cook, because I make Jenn’s blueberry pancakes and blueberry syrup, and the banana pancakes, and this recipe. What makes these pancakes turn out so fluffy? I healthified it a bit this morning by replacing 1/2 cup AP flour with whole wheat pastry flour. Pancakes turned out fluffy and tasty! Can’t wait for your cookbook to arrive on my doorstep. These were way too dry and needed flavor.
Can you substitute butter with coconut oil?
..my husband and son can’t get enough. They are light and fluffy, and great with berry syrups. In the end, there is a big surprise when the lady gets home from getting the maple syrup. My entire family loved them. This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged. This is almost identical to the version I’ve come up with after lots of trial and error with ones from scratch.

Delicious!! However, when she visits the neighbor’s house to borrow syrup, she returns home to find her pets have eaten her freshly made breakfast. Can make this the night before for breakfast.
And the virtually wordless story was going along in a way where I thought this would be a solid 2 ½ or 3 star book (despite my finding of the cow’s milk & chicken eggs & cow’s milk butter unappealing, not to mention rather unrealistically procured) and figuring I’d have loved the book when I was a child, but THEN there’s a wonderful and very amusing twist and an equally wonderful ending, and I ended up really liking this book.
