I have a very, Dear MyrnaYZ, Thank you so much for your kind review! The hotel received a "World's Best Award" by Travel + Leisure for 2014 and Conde Nast Traveler has placed the hotel on the "Gold List" as the top San Francisco hotel for 17 consecutive years. We tried the hotel bar for some dinner one night and the burger was good but not amazing. On balance, I thought the experience was what I would have expected of a Ritz.

I stayed at the SF Ritz-Carlton in Feb and March before the covid crisis kicked in. The first night I received 2 wake up calls which I did not request. We were interested in Art, Movies, Food and Sightseeing since we wanted to experience as much as possible in this short time. Not a big deal, but another example, like check in lines, of less than FIVE STAR service. A special mention goes to the staff. Top room amenities include a minibar, air conditioning, and a flat screen TV. The housekeeping team is also very efficient; nice unexpected details that make daily life easier( I won't spoil the mini surprises). Thank you to the RC San Fran staff for making our Christmas an enjoyable one!
