The descriptions are full and well written allowing the reader to get an image of this world of good and evil. It does get a bit dark in theme but it's relevant to the story.

The characters of Max and Rose are a wonderful combination for the world that Brodien-Jones has created. AMAZING review!

Get ready for hours of great relaxing creativity fun as ... Whoo loves coloring to relax? His special love was silver owls, and he was horrified when he heard that the High Echelon wanted to eliminate all of them. It's also for sale in schools through the Scholastic Book Club! The time of the Owl Keeper, Gran would say, is coming soon. The story is nothing out of the ordinary but it is sweet and builds a cool and surprisingly dark world. I have no idea. For full information on my privacy policy, please see my post with full details. Max wished he had a stronger voice. This girl is acting so uppity, he thought, you'd think the owl was the intruder, not her. I am so captivated by the cover. Max is no longer brave.

Also with this age, however, is a certain desire to be brave and grown up, still harboring some of the childlike drive to grow up too fast yet also lacking the know it all attitude of an early teenager.
